Senior High Vocal Jazz Audition Procedures

Vocal Jazz Auditions will be as follows:

• Part I: Students will sing their solo TWICE.​​

1. First Time: Please sing the melody as written.
2. Second Time: This should showcase their jazz/improvisational skill set and emphasize a use of melodic/rhythmic embellishments/changes, as well as improvisation using scatting. 

• Part II: Improvisation Track has been removed.

Solos for this year are: 

• The Frim Fram Sauce
  
  • Sopranos & Tenors: Key of Bb Major
    
  • Altos & Basses: Key of Eb Major
