Senior High Vocal Jazz Audition Procedures

Vocal Jazz Auditions will be as follows:

• Part I: Students will sing their solo one time through. They should go directly to the second ending. During their performance, the students can stylize the song with jazz embellishments, changes in pitches/rhythms, etc.  We are looking to see the students' understanding of jazz music/style, so they should make the song their own while still keeping within the framework of the melody. 
• Part II: Improvisation Track. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their improvisation skills by singing over the Fast Blues in F track.​  **This portion of the audition as it has always been.**

Solos for this year are: 

• I've Got You Under my Skin for Sopranos & Tenors
• Do Nothing Til You Hear From Me for Altos and Basses
