Dear Teachers, Administrators, Parents, and Students,
It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I welcome you to another inspiring year of music education in Orange County. As the newly elected President of the Orange County Music Educators Association--and as the proud director of the choirs at Minisink Valley High School--I am truly honored to serve in this role and represent the amazing educators, students, and communities that comprise our vibrant musical landscape.
Stepping into this position is both humbling and inspiring. I've seen firsthand how music transforms lives, how it brings people together, builds confidence, and creates lasting memories. Whether I am conducting a rehearsal, or watching students shine on stage, I am constantly reminded of the power and importance of what we do.
To our dedicated teachers, thank you for your passion, resilience, and commitment to nurturing the next generation of musicians. You are the heart of our programs, and the reason students have meaningful opportunities to grow and thrive through music. You truly lay the foundation for experiences which students will carry with them for a lifetime.
To our supportive administrators, your leadership and continued support of the arts make all the difference. Thank you for championing music programs in your schools and districts, and for recognizing the essential role music plays in a well-rounded education. It nurtures both the intellect and the spirit, and we are grateful for your partnership and vision.
To our dedicated parents, your encouragement and support are essential. Whether it's attending performances, helping with events, or simply fostering a love of music at home, you help sustain the heartbeat of our music community.
And to our incredible students--you are the reason we do what we do. Your energy, talent, and curiosity bring music to life. Keep exploring, keep practicing and performing, and most of all, keep expressing yourself. Music is not just a subject--it's a lifelong gift.
