1st Chair West Point Band

A two-week full band, chorus, and string ensemble experience culminating with a free public concert. Perform great music with students from Orange County.

Band and string students with two or three years of performing experience are eligible for the Intermediate ensembles. Students with four or more years of experience are eligible for the Senior ensembles.

 Chorus students entering the 4th through 7^th grade are eligible for the Intermediate Chorus. Students entering the 8^th grade or higher are eligible for the Senior Chorus.

Week 1: Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9         10:00 AM –   12:00 noon

Week 2: Monday, July 13 through Thursday, July 16     10:00 AM  –  12:00 noon                                                                  

Concert: Thursday, July 16, 6:00 PM

How much does it cost?

Early Registration: $80/student (before May 30) 

Regular Registration: $95/student (before June 24) 

Walk-In Registration: $110/student

Any student who brings (an) additional first time, new participant(s) to the program will receive a $20 discount per new participant on their own registration fee up to full tuition (no payment for discounts beyond the full tuition). Eg. A family with 3 children who will be attending the SMI for the first time will be discounted $40 off of the total registration).  Registration forms and payment for all involved parties must be received together in order to receive the discount.
