About Our Program:
The Orange County Music Educators Association runs a 5 day (3 hours a day) Band, Chorus, and String Ensemble experience for Elementary - High School students - culminating with a free public concert. A Jazz Improvisation class is also available for instrumentalists. New Schedule Format - Dates & Times: July 14 - 18, 2025 9:00am - 12:00pm Daily Final Concert - July 18, 6:00pm Location: Monroe Woodbury High School 155 Dunderberg Rd Central Valley, NY 10917-1001 Registration Fee: $180 If postmarked by July 4, 2025 Or $190 “Late Registration” if postmarked after July 4, 2025 Note: Please contact us to request financial assistance if the registration fee is prohibitive to your child's participation. |
How to register:
OPTION #1 - Printable Registration Form: PDF file of the Registration Form 1. Print out and complete the above Registration Form 2. Mail the completed registration form with a check payable to OCMEA to: OCMEA SMI, C/O A. Contzius, 10 Van Wyck Court, Wallkill, NY 12589 Note: Do not mail this registration form AFTER July 4. Students may participate in one or two groups:
Students who choose two groups will split their time between them each day (e.g. an instrumental group and a chorus). The Improvisation Class is for instrumentalists only. This class will run during the first four days only. Students will split their time between their music ensemble and the Improvisation class. |
