Welcome back to the 2010-2011 Academic Year! 

The SUNY Orange Community Orchestra is once more auditioning Orange County high school students and SUNY Orange students for the opportunity to perform with the orchestra on our Feb. 26, 2011 performance.  The application deadline is Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 and auditions will be held on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011.I have attached an informational poster and an application.  Applicants need to complete the top only of the application.Please encourage your students to participate.  Please make copies of the poster and application as needed.Best of luck for a great year.

Registration fees for All County Festivals:

Elementary students -$12.00,
Junior/Senior High School students -$12.00

O.C.M.E.A dues:

OCMEA Membership Dues will remain at the 2008-2009 rate for the 2010-2011 school year as follows:
Teachers (District & Private): $12.00
String Studio Teachers: $16.00*

*Private string teachers who wish to register private students to audition  for All-County festivals must sign up at the String Studio rate providing the students do not  reside in a district that offers a string program. Private students that reside in a district with  a string program must be registered by the appropriate district teacher. If you are a private  string teacher but will not be registering students yourself, please sign up at the $12.00 basic membership rate.

Business Membership rates for ads remains the same.
$35.00 (includes 1/4 page ad in directory)
$50.00 (includes 1/2 page ad in directory)

The purposes of this association are to:
1. Promote and maintain a closer relationship between the Music Educators of Orange County, The New York State School Music association and the Music Educators' National Conference.
2. Support music programs throughout Orange County.
3. Encourage a closer relationship among the Music Educators of Orange County.
4. Encourage the appreciation of live music performances.
5. Offer an opportunity for outstanding school musicians to perform in All-County Choirs, Bands and Orchestras.
6. Offer educational programs which will be of benefit to students and teachers in Orange County.
7. Remain a non-profit organization converting all money available into programs which shall aim to advance music education.
