Kevin Franca is new String teacher for the district.

Steve Kessler, who also plays with the local rock ‘n roll band The Big Smoothies, rose to the challenge and put his composing and arranging skills to work. A few months ago he sent five of his original jazz band compositions to the publishing company, Walrus Music Publishing in Pismo Beach, California. Last week, the president of Walrus Publishing contacted Steve and told him that they wish to publish all of his original songs. Click here for more information. There will now be 8 of his jazz band charts available from Walrus Music Publishing (and eventually Pepper) in their Fall 2008 catalog.  Steve is working on digitally recording the big band to see if these could be used as Real Audio clips.
