What is it?
A two-week full band, chorus, and string ensemble experience culminating with a free public concert. Perform great music with students from Orange County.
Who is eligible?
Band and string students with two or three years of performing experience are eligible for the Intermediate ensembles. Students with four or more years of experience are eligible for the Senior ensembles.
Chorus students entering the 4th through 7th grade are eligible for the Intermediate Chorus. Students entering the 8th grade or higher are eligible for the Senior Chorus.

Week 1: Monday, July 5 through Thursday, July 8 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon
Week 2: Monday, July 12 through Thursday, July 15 10:00 AM – 12:00 noon
Concert: Thursday, July 15, 6:00 PM
How much does it cost?
Early Registration: $80/student (before May 31)
Regular Registration: $95/student (before June 24)
Late Registration: $110/student (June 25 and after)
How can I get a discount? Any student who brings (an) additional first time, new participant(s) to the program will receive a $20 discount per new participant on their own registration fee up to full tuition (no payment for discounts beyond the full tuition). Eg. A family with 3 children who will be attending the SMI for the first time will be discounted $40 off of the total registration). Registration forms and payment for all involved parties must be received together in order to receive the discount.
