the festival will run the corresponding Sunday beginning at one, no

5. If the snow date Friday is canceled, Saturday festival with amended
schedule and one piece less per group (at conductor's discretion).
6. If the festival runs on the snow date Friday, but Saturday needs to
be canceled, the festival will run on the corresponding Sunday starting
at one, no meals provided, with a concert at 5:30
7. Notes: If a *participating* school in the county closes or cancels
activities, the next step in the contingency plan is followed A two hour
delay will not affect the festival times or dates
"The President upon consultation with the Executive Board will determine if the
activity will be cancelled due to inclement weather. The President will call the
General Chairperson as well as the Vice President to begin the emergency phone
chain. The Public Relations manager will notify all radio stations of the
cancellation. In case of closure of a participating school district, all events
will be postponed. In the event of a school delay, all events will continue as
scheduled. Should after school activities be cancelled, all events on that day
will be cancelled. Rehearsals will run in an amended format on the following
day. See the O.C.M.E.A website for detailed contingency plans. If inclement
weather is imminent, discuss the possibility of cancellation with the President
and conductor on Thursday evening prior to the festival. All decisions will be
made by the middle of the school day, when possible."
